Most people start with a boat trip. If you want beaches and snorkelling, go for an island day tour to Phi Phi, the Khai Islands or James Bond Island. If you would rather stay on land, we also run elephant care, bamboo rafting, ATV rides, ziplining and sightseeing tours. Our join-in tours are the best value, and a private tour or charter gives you your own boat and your own pace, which works well for families and groups.
Phi Phi, Maya Bay and the Khai Islands are our most popular snorkelling day trips by speedboat. James Bond Island and Phang Nga Bay mix limestone cliffs with sea canoeing. The Similan and Surin Islands are open from about mid-October to mid-May and have some of the best snorkelling in Thailand. Coral Island and Racha Island are closer to Phuket and good for a relaxed swim, and on land you can visit the Green Elephant Sanctuary, go bamboo rafting or try the Hanuman World zipline.
Island speedboat day tours start from around ฿1,500 to ฿1,900 per adult, and premium boats and Similan trips start from about ฿2,700. Most tours include hotel pickup and drop-off in the main beach areas, lunch, snorkelling gear and insurance. On some tours the national park fee is paid in cash on the day, and each tour page shows it. Every tour page shows the live price and exactly what is included, and you can pay cash on the day.
November to April is the high season. The sea is calm and all the island trips run, so it is the best time for snorkelling and for the Similan Islands. May to October is the green season, which is quieter and cheaper, and most island tours still run with sunshine in between the showers. The weather at sea can change from day to day, so we check every departure before you travel.

Yes. Pickup is free from Patong, Kata, Karon, Kalim and Chalong on nearly every tour, and from Phuket Town on most. From further out, such as Kamala, Bang Tao, Surin, Rawai or Nai Harn, some tours add a transfer fee, which you see before you pay. We confirm your pickup time after you book.

Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat and a little cash for any extras. We provide snorkelling gear and life jackets, and there is space on the boat to keep your phone and valuables dry.
Yes. Cancelling or moving your tour to another date is free up to 24 hours before it starts, and anything you have paid is refunded in full.
Most island day trips pick you up between 07:00 and 08:30 and drop you back between 16:30 and 18:30. The Similan Islands, Surin Islands and Koh Rok go further out, so pickup is earlier, from about 05:30. Half-day trips such as the Khai Islands run in the morning or the afternoon, and the ATV and UTV rides take about 2 hours. Your exact pickup time for your hotel is shown when you book.
It depends on the tour. On some speedboat and big boat tours the park fee is paid in cash on the day: ฿400 per adult and ฿200 per child for Phi Phi, Maya Bay and the Khai Islands, and ฿300 per adult and ฿150 per child for James Bond Island. Each tour page lists the fee under "not included" when it applies, so there are no surprises on the day.
Maya Bay is open most of the year, but boats may not land there from 1 August to 30 September, so tours pass the bay for photos instead. The Similan Islands are open for day trips from 15 October to 15 May, the Surin Islands and Koh Rok from about mid-October to mid-May. Outside those months the sea is too rough and the national parks close.
A speedboat is the fastest way to the islands and fits the most stops into one day, with up to 35 guests, but the ride can be bumpy. A speed catamaran is smoother and roomier, with up to 30 guests. A big boat or cruise yacht is the most stable and comfortable choice for families, seniors and anyone who gets seasick, and a sailing catamaran is the relaxed option for Coral and Raya Island or a sunset trip. Speedboat trips are not recommended for pregnant women, children under 1 or guests over 70.
No. Life jackets are provided on every boat tour, and you can stay on the beach or the boat at every snorkelling stop. Let your guide know if you are not a confident swimmer.
Yes. Lunch on most of our day trips is a Thai buffet with vegetarian and halal options. Tell us about any other dietary needs when you book.
For a more exclusive day out, choose the Premium Phi Phi speed catamaran with a limited group size, the Premium Koh Rok and Koh Haa speedboat trip, the Sea Angel cruise yacht to Phi Phi, or John Gray's Hong by Starlight sea canoe trip, which has run since 1989 and includes dinner on board. The YONA floating beach club is an afternoon or a whole day of pool, food and drinks on the water.
Only for some national parks. For the Similan Islands you need to show a copy of your passport, because your details are registered for the park ticket and the insurance. For most other tours you do not need it.

Very late picking us up,be good if you running late like this to ring the office ar hotels to tell the people aa we start to.panic and then office try ringing you and it says its no number.then I email yous. The driver very good and nice helping my.husband as his feet are very sore and makes it hard to walk so please thank him for us.. We enjoyed our day. Thank you. And since a long drive it would be nice to have cold water.
