Ready to discover the underwater world just off the coast of Phuket? This one-day scuba diving trip to Racha Island and Coral Island is perfect for both beginners and certified divers. You’ll dive into crystal-clear waters filled with vibrant coral reefs, colorful tropical fish, and even the occasional shipwreck!
The day starts with a pickup from your hotel and a speedboat transfer to Racha Island. You will get all the information you need for your Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) course if you’re a beginner, or jump right in if you’re already certified.

You’ll be exploring two of Phuket’s most popular nearby islands: Racha Island and Coral Island. At Racha, the dive sites are famous for their clear visibility and marine life like parrotfish, angelfish, and moray eels. There’s also a shipwreck waiting to be explored! After your dive, enjoy a relaxed Thai lunch by the sea, followed by an optional extra dive.
Next, we head to Coral Island, where you can relax on the beach. Expect coral gardens, soft white sand, and maybe even a few giant clams or sea cucumbers along the way.
Whether you’re a first-time diver or already certified, you’ll love what’s waiting below the surface.

Itinerary
Pick up from your hotel by air-conditioned minivan and transfer to Chalong Pier, from where the boat tour to Racha & Coral Island leaves.
We have a tour briefing on arrival at the pier. The speedboat then departs from Chalong Pier towards Racha island. This takes around 30 minutes.
Arrive at Racha Island. You will then receive instructions for Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) and we prepare for your dive, followed by one or two dives at 5-12 meters (for beginners) or 15-20 meters at the shipwreck (for people with diving certificates). If you booked 2 dives, you will enjoy one dive left of Racha island, and one on the right of the island at different diving sites.
After the dive, you can enjoy a Thai-style lunch on the beach at Racha Island. Vegetarian and/or halal options are available.
After lunch, it's time to depart from Racha Island and head to Coral Island.
On arrival at Coral island, you can relax on the beach at Coral Island. There are many activities you can do here, like banana boat riding, parasailing or jetskiing (at an extra cost).
At the end of the day, we board the speedboat again for a 30 minute ride back to Chalong Pier on Phuket.
Our air-conditioned minivans await you on arrival back at the pier. From here we bring you back to your hotel or accommodation on Phuket. You should arrive there no later than 16:30. The scuba diving tour to Racha & Coral Island tour ends here!

No, this tour is perfect for beginners! The Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) course will give you all the basics before your first dive. Racha island is the perfect spot for beginners because of the visibility and depth of the sea.
For beginners, the dive is usually between 5 to 12 meters. Certified divers can go deeper, between 15-20 meters.
The best time to visit Racha and Coral island is during the dry season, which typically runs from November to April. During these months, the weather is generally sunny with clear skies, calm seas, and mild temperatures.
You can cancel your booking for free up until 24 hours in advance of the tour start date. That means you need to cancel no later than 23:59, 2 days before the tour date. We’ll refund you the deposit or you can choose to use it as an advance to a different booking or tour.
